What steps can I take to prevent identity theft?
- Shred all documents containing personal information including expired credit cards
- Do not give out personal information over the phone, through text, or online
- Pay bills through your Bank & Trust Bill Pay
- Enroll in Online Banking and check your accounts often through The Bank & Trust website and app
- Sign up for eStatements
- Do not share your passwords or PINs
- Request a hold on your mail when traveling
- Close all inactive credit cards and bank accounts
